Ride out to Brixpetto World Hill Climb Championships

A fairly early start so that everyone can get out to the Brixpetto World Hill Climb Champiosnhips in good time for the 'racing' around 10am. There will be lots of Brixton riders heading out, and possibly in several groups.

The route will be decided later (or made up on the day by whoever ends up leading) but it will something vaguely similar to this. The chances are it will be more direct but at least the route shows where you will be going (for the hill climb itself).

I'm not riding out via Christmas Tree again.

Can we add some short sharp efforts to get the legs and lungs going?

That's what the route above tries to do on the way out (with the slightly lumpy way through Downe etc.). When you get nearer you could do Row Dow? Or Cotmans Ash (next hill along)? Or Old Terry's Lodge Road (final chance hill before Exedown)? Beware that I think the Brixton lot favoured mainlining it out along A232/A21 type of roads the last time.

Old Terry's then coast down.

Row Dow might be better because you could then drop down past Woodlands golf course then get a second blast to smash out Tinker Pot Lane before rolling across the top to the sign-on stage.

Pretty sure I took them via pilgrims. Only on the A road from the bottom of Star Hill to that right turn.

Fair enough. Given that you actually rode out, while I was driven out the Chief Commissaire, there's little point in me speculating any further on the route!

I'm attending the event but I'm driving out with @dave_mac & @Will. Also bumped into @Gutchings this morning on the tube and he wants to pop down too. not sure if he'll be riding down though.
