Are you mainly riding on road? All weathers? Organic/matrix compounds are best for bite and modulation but wear faster, sintered still work well but last longer, kevlar best of all but don't last at all.
Cheapest options are either Uberbike or Superstar Components, I've used the former and the pads are good value for money.
