Sorry to hear that :(
I'll let you know if I hear of anything decent for sale.

You should be able to get a CAAD10 with 105 for that sort of money. Might be better than cheap carbon.
-

What size are you after?
I've got a 55cm Canyon AL with 10 speed SRAM Rival, sitting in the cupboard that I've been meaning to sell. Probably not a forever replacement, but you can have it for cheap and it will tide you over?

Sorry to hear that Phil
I also have a Carbon Ridley frame, but is Di2 only and size 58.

Thanks guys,
I will need a 58cm frame as I am just over 6 foot.
My knowledge is pretty weak but something like this seems a good starting point.

Ved - right size but Di2 might be overkill for me.

Totally your decision, but don't be swung by the fact it's carbon. Cheap carbon isn't that great.
-
• #8
I am definitely being swung by the fact its carbon. Is a high quality Alu going to outperform a carbon?
-
• #9
CAAD10 with DA will outperform most carbon bikes under £3k

This is exactly why I wanted to ask on here, thanks for the input!
On the search for a Caad now :)

@PhilChannon do you have a spare bike until you get sorted out with the replacement? @Ved how big was Waynes old Madone that was far to big for him? Would that do as a makeshift for Phil?

Cheers for the help boys!
I just made an offer for £800 on this and it was accepted.
Should I lock it in?
Travelling up to Nottingham is a task but could be worth it in the end, makes me nervous going all that way to find issues with the bike!
Cheers,

That is not good money.
You're paying for his weird upgrade list.

I had a pair of those wheels, you have to replace the bearings very regularly.
Morning Gents,
Yesterday some pesky kids pulled a fast one on my bike. It was locked up outside the large Sainsburys in Wandsworth. I have posted a report but we all know I will not be seeing it again.
In light of this unfortunate development, I am now in the market for a replacement. My budget is somewhere in the £500 - £700. I want a second-hand carbon bike. If anyone spots any great deals or knows of any going please let me know.
I also will most likely ask some advice if I build a shortlist of options in a week or so. Hoping to use a bit of your expertise here also!
Thanks in advance!
Phil
