  • The Wow! should be saved for his ascent of Chalkpit Lane on the way home. The sheer raw power on show was awe inspiring.

  • Obviously sandbagging in the race.

  • I need a fit on that bike ASAP.

  • Also. New kit.

  • I need a fit on that bike ASAP.

    Head too low.

    You're welcome.

  • Srsly tho, good effort :0)

Still trying to obtain pass for Frylands. Should be fine for Somerhill School, Tonbridge (this is the one on a Saturday).

Am defo going to Ford Manor Farm for the EKCX. Long way for you south London boys I know.

  • Day after Edie’s birthday and planned sleepover, I have zero chance of making that one.

  • He’s looking deep into his pain cave there.

  • Yeah, I was hoping if I kept going to the back of the wardrobe of self doubt, I'd get to see Narnia.

It's the cleats on my left foot that need attention, which I can sort myself.
But looking at that picture, I think some stretching (manual/physical) is needed.
    Like that'll happen.

  • Which one's that? Ford Manor Farm?

  • Shame. It's a great course, tougher than Leeds Castle, but with a field of around 50-60 you never get baulked anywhere.

  • The coaching session at HH tomorrow has been postponed, as Huw Williams is ill and unable to attend. Next one will on 6th November, just in time to get some pre-National Trophy practise in.

  • I really need to sort out my cornering.

  • Eyes on where you want to go, inside pedal at 12 o'clock, outside pedal at 6 o'clock, outside leg pushing down on the pedal. On really tight corners, try and shift back on the saddle to give you a bit more leverage.

  • I was doing a bit of that, but those tight corners (like the loop of doom) pffft.
    Out the window!

  • I only had the 6 am slot available today, so headed out to do some messing about in woods on the cross bike.

Lots of leaves down now and they were my downfall - tried to ride around a fallen tree, but didn’t see the trunk of a smaller tree buried under the leaves, so lost my front wheel and went down hard on my left thigh, landing hard on the offending trunk. Limped home and am now limping up and down stairs.

  • Ooof, bad luck.

I took a spill the other day. Had to round a large fallen branch but caught the very edge of it, which I think flicked it up and then got caught between my foot and the underside of the bike. Cue the bike stopping instantly and me going straight over the bars.

  • Ow.
I just saw this. That is not nice.

    I went for a run.
I've got a sore knee now.

  • And I have an egg on my shin from a playground accident. :-)

  • Just entered the National Trophy round at Ardingly.

    Gulp.

  • Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars (Norman Vincent Peale)

  • Good work Andy.
I'll think of you and Danny while I'm at home.

  • Eating biscuits and watching telly.
