I think your right off Ide Hill is a private road - take it down to Cooper's corner and stay on Ide Hill Rd.

Went track earlier for 45 minutes. Ear felt OK but I'm totally deaf in it now so I'll need to ride on the left is anyone wants to talk to me.

Changed it up a bit Dommy... not a huge amount less climbing as you still need to get up one way or another... Also made it a bit more direct coming up to Cudham rather than Shire Lane normal way..

Super glad Timmy is coming out... we have to go for beers after now.

Chartwell which has a decent cafe tho as an alternative to Ide Hill.

Is the Chartwell cafe inside the national trust house? My cafe knowledge around there is poor as hardly ever stop

The Drop Bar was very definitely closed when I went past last month.

The Chartwell cafe is in the car park.

In fact, thinking about this, I think most National Trust places have a cafe that is accessible to non-visitors, presumably because it's a good revenue stream.
