I'm back in the game after my new bike arrived yesterday. Pedals arrive tomorrow, all going well I should be set to join you guys for this ride, very much looking forward to getting back in the saddle!

At this point I can get the CAAD12 105 through Cycle2Work brand new which is going to be hard to beat at its price (coming out around 700). Appreciate the help Ved but I think unless I find an absolute steal a new bike is going to be the way to go!

Morning Gents,

Yesterday some pesky kids pulled a fast one on my bike. It was locked up outside the large Sainsburys in Wandsworth. I have posted a report but we all know I will not be seeing it again.

In light of this unfortunate development, I am now in the market for a replacement. My budget is somewhere in the £500 - £700. I want a second-hand carbon bike. If anyone spots any great deals or knows of any going please let me know.

I also will most likely ask some advice if I build a shortlist of options in a week or so. Hoping to use a bit of your expertise here also!

I came into a bend with a tad too much, bit slippy/gravelly and ran out of road to swing wide onto. The bank was a nice soft mud mattress and I bounced off with minimal damage to bike and body. I had managed to slow down a fair bit before I came off, it was not too big. I certainly need to be more wary of the surface from now on. Lesson learnt and no lasting damage, onwards and upwards!
