It's great, until you realise to make London a bit less boring they made Northumberland Avenue and Whitehall have 5% gradients.

I've plumb lined. I don't know how, but the saddle on the CX bike was 2cm more forward than the road bike, MTB, and Brommy. Have had to order a new stem as I am now close to matching Graeme Obree's superman position.

Anyway, back on topic. Anyone racing Ardingly? I can't make it, so next for me is Leeds Castle.

I'm racing at Ardingly. Somehow I've managed to get a pass for the next four weekends, so will be racing Ardingly, Leeds Castle, the SE Regionals at Cyclopark and Frylands Wood.

I've put the regionals in the diary but wonder if I'll be out of my depth! After that it's a toss up between Frylands Wood and an event in the East Kent league south of Herne Bay. If you know the Jolly Boys Outing to Margate episode of Only Fools and Horses, it's near to where they stopped at the halfway house :0)

The Regionals is an odd race, lots of people tend to avoid it for fear of getting beaten, but it's usually a very similar field to any other London League race, just with a few Eastern League riders thrown in. I like the courses Huw Williams sets at Cyclopark, so am giving it a go.

When it works, it works really well. But you have to make sure everything is properly connected and well sealed.
