The return of the CYCLOCROSS SECTION...!
I never liked this but because it made my tires dirty and popped us out on that silly little trading estate but WP loved it. No idea why.

I have put myself down.
With the caveat that I don't know if I'm good for this as I haven't ridden for a month (since my hit and run) and I don't currently have a road bike (destroyed in the hit and run). I'll either borrow a road bike from a bike shop, or will turn up on something totally inadequate.

I'm sure someone can lend you a bike - what size do you need?

Will be good to meet you Velocio. We can thank you for the sterling work you do in keeping our forum running.

I've got a bike with Zipp 303 and Dura Ace electric you can borrow?
One ride on that and you'll never touch Campag again.

@velocio I have a couple of Wayne's old bikes you are very welcome to borrow, one was his Seven but that is a custom so unlikely to be a good fit but his Trek Madone (which was too big for him) might be perfect for you. I have them in storage and would be happy to lend it to you for as long as you need.

Thanks for the offer... I wonder what size they are.
I may be good though, Cycle Fit have a guaranteed sale and will be letting me try a few bikes out, I'll just try and make sure one of those is on this day.

Museum pieces
It's been a year since 'The Patron' left us. @Señor_Bear has suggested we do a yearly ride to remember him and I think it's a great idea. To make it really special I would ideally like get the whole club out for a social paced ride but I understand that sometimes this isn't just possible but please do try to make it if you can.
Dov has suggested this route and we have amended it to avoid a possible icy/greasy decent down Ranmore but I think the route looks good and we should all be able to manage it especially as we will have a stop for cake at the top of Box Hill.
If you have a garmin please add the route to it as we can all 'lead this one'. New members are most welcome too.
