What the fuck is it with wet looking stems?
Is Terry Richardson getting into bike design? -
• #328
I think it's just the new way to say gloss.
-
• #329
I think Ritchey started it.
It does look good on certain frames. Like my old condor.

Want to ride one.

I don’t like hydraulic levers. So much volume.

My friend doesn't like hydraulic levers.

I looks like a 21st century Hetchens

The SRAM ones are particularly nasty looking. They provide excellent grip though, apparently.

Agreed. I get that Hydro is better but I have 105/TRP Spyre C mechanical and is great. Also the levers don't look like they were designed by H R Gieger for Admiral Ackbar

1x is such a dumb trend.
I have no idea why people are so suddenly offended by extraneous components like shifting cables and inner chainrings.
-
• #338
It's about doing more with less.
-
• #339
1x is a bit daft on proper road bikes. I tend to spend most of my time now in the little ring, and the chain rub in the extreme gears (of which I love) despite trim facility is annoying. So 1X on the CX bike makes perfect sense.
Mind you Di2 1X is looking...

So the problem here is that you're too slow?
-
• #341
Riding fast is so 2016
-
• #342
I'd say more a consequence than a problem.
