Have been admiring this for a while, but it's not going to be discounted as it's new stock and I can't justify it: https://www.albioncycling.com/product/insulated-gilet-black/

Is the rain jacket any good in, errr, rain? Do you get hot when it's warm (i.e. not cold)?

The rapha insulated gilet is probs in the black friday.
I've touched some of the albion stuff and I wasn't overly impressed (jersey and caps at four boroughs). -

Yeah it's shake-dry and the water just beads off. Not incredibly breathable from experience though as you'd expect, so similar to a Gore jacket I would think in that regard.

Ok, cheers David.

I think @Denny had a negative experience with a lightweight jersey from them and returned it (haven't got one myself), and I have a cap from them which is stretched a bit at the seams because my head is too big for their sizing. I like it though and it's hanging in there.
I see the insulated Rapha gilet is on sale, but it's still quite expensive and I'm not quite as sold on it.

Out of the Rapha BF Sale, whilst there are lots of things I'd like, there is nothing I really need. Except maybe the Merino hat. Don't see that being enough to bother Dov for though, will probably pop into their store on Monday.

Just bought some Rapha Deep Winter gloves from Wiggle. £66.

If you bought from Decathlon you would have saved £46, less whatever the price of a sharpie costs.

Sharpie!!

The Decathlon full glove set system is about £40? They are big on branding though.

I am a buyer, but in things like flooring, penetrative damp prevention, mortgages and other such fun stuff.

But you cannot buy decent and cheap French stuff when very expensive British stuff is out there. Sort yourself out Sam.

Any ideas if there are any full length clip on mudguards around, and if so would anyone recommend a pair?
I've (slowly) converted the CX bike to a winter mile masher by switching to SRAM cranks, meaning I can easily switch cranksets from single ring CX to double ring road. Just also needs a wheel and chain switch.
As I've got loads of clearance on the frame/brakes/wheels it seems daft not to fit full guards, if they are available that is.

Race Longs

Race longs are very chatterry.

Thanks for the suggestions. Don't think Raceblade Longs will work as my front fork hasn't a brake hole (cantilever style mini v brakes innit).
Rapha Classic Rain Jacket II (which I got on sale) and the dhb Extreme Weather Neoprene Overshoe kept the chill off me this morning.
The dhb gloves I have aren't the one for really cold days, but my fingers aren't frozen by the end of the commute so they'll do.
