Is Nath still gonna come?
This is decent, start / finish in Sutton but easily extendable to somewhere sensible like Clapham Common

If we started in Clapham Junction you could jump on overgound....
And it would be halfway ish between the SW and SE crews

Slugwash Lane FTW.

why? Nice roaD?
-

Quiet. And cuts out Haywards Heath and the section of road after where you ride along some open heath usually into a headwind. That plus cars being driven by divs make it a bit grimmers.
Left at Ardingly to Lindfield where head left, right/left on Lewes Road, down Slugwash, left/right down Hundred Acre Lane, right then left down Spatham Lane, then right to Ditchling then as you were.

Hey, is it gonna be chucking it down on Sunday? I am not up for 200km in the rain.
Chaps, I am really very sorry as I know how excited you all are but I need to bail on this. I need to also go and see my mum. She has had a replacement shoulder and is struggling. I thought she would bounce back but recovery very slow. I am also getting heavy pressure due to fact this is sabotaging a potential bank holiday weekend away. My fault for picking this weekend really.
I am certainly not suggesting the event is cancelled and I am sure one of those keen can put a route up. Even the standard London to Brighton in reverse is good.
On the plus side, I am going to host a summer BBQ at my place and will be sending out a save the date. Hopefully we can get a good crew together and sink some beers. I also have a child size paddling pool - so graham and I can fit in that.
