I'm in bits. Was a funny race, I gave it full gas but couldn't stay with people I'd normally be racing with, and was getting caught by people I'd normally be ahead of, but there's now way I could have gone any faster. If @MrParker had been further forward on the grid, he'd have caught me for sure, he was very, very close at the end.

It's a well established dog walking spot, and to be fair to most of the people I see walking dogs up there, they bag and remove the turds.

It could've easily been fox shit that @Sam stood in, as there are loads of them up there.

Did you get the weather? Nice but cold.

I have an update. I also have it on my wheels, so must have been from the race. Possibly when I kept moving off the racing line to let people pass once I had my puncture.

Which incidentally wasn't a pinch flat. I only found this out about two miles on my way out of the hospital when my wheel went flat again. Massive bit of flint through the tyre. Schoolboy error not checking originally.

Yeah, it was good. Stayed dry until after all the races I think, but our race was in sunshine. It was cold in the shade, but once you're racing you don't notice the temperature.

Beautiful with the sun out, but as soon as our race finished the clouds came and it got effing cold!

Seeing as I only had half a race I was thinking about entering a round in the East Kent League this weekend, but have had a niggling sore knee for a few weeks now (dodgy patella tracking, had it on and off for years), so methinks I will have a rest.
