No chance, Sam. Edie’s birthday on the Friday and we’ve got things planned for Saturday and Sunday.
I was hoping to race today but that’s looking increasingly unlikely.

No worries.
And shame about today. I couldn't do PORC anyway, dodgy back or not.

The tyranny of dance classes strikes again. No racing for me today.

We've quit dance in the new year.
Stage school nonsense on a Friday night ftw.

They both love it though.
They also love Dad taking them and Mum really won’t do.

Miriam got fed up with slds and they've started getting really "ballet school". Teaching us how to do ballet buns. And grading/exams.
Miriam's just done her first cartwheel.
Dad's at dance are the best. Trufacts.
It's much better. Dad's at dance are cool.

Glad I missed it, given this;

So many beards. And the best saved for last.
(And Penshurst is a bit of a nightmare generally)

Ehats thatball about then?
Penshurst was mental last time. The only bit i did well on was the uphill. And the bomb crater -

I'm not sure about that start either.
Looked like a muddy event, especially for this Brixton rider.

That dreadful moment when you know it's gonna end up in a stack

How?

Don’t overdo it when bunny hopping the stairs.

He's still the fucking boss.

• #291
For sure. I like that he's got WT pros taking the piss out of him on Twitter this evening though.
-
• #292
How what?
-
• #294
Noooo. He was wondering how that Hackey GT rider ever thought those bibshorts were a good look.
-
• #295
I'm guessing the riders mass went past the centre of gravity of the bike, due to a rapid deceleration from the front.
What up with the start though? What happened?

That'll get some money on Beadle's About
-
• #297
It was a running start, i.e. too steep to ride so everyone was running. Bare jokes.

Lolz.
Clearly the mud fest UCI race from last week has been inspirational. -

The start at Ford Manor Farm is excellent. Slight upslope for about 100 yards, then a wide right left chicane followed by another 100 yard uphill straight. Plenty of opportunity for me to be passed.

Frylands Wood - how daft would I be to race on the singlespeed? Clearly it depends on the course used, but given how epically muddy it gets at this time of year the idea of not having mud clogging my drive train again appeals.
Andy, do you fancy Ford Manor Farm on 17th December? Appreciate it's a long way to go, but it's a great course. I'll hopefully be going again. Back is still a bit iffy, but fingers crossed I'll be good by then.
It's 7 miles from Canterbury East station.
V40 & V50 race kicks off at 11:50.
