He's so weird looking.

Terrible crash in the Women's race for Annemiek van Vleuten :(
-
• #9
She's conscious and in an ambulance according to Dutch TV.
It put a downer on what was a cracking race.
-
• #10
Andrea thinks I'm an expert, I said with 1.2 kms to go that van der Breggen had it.
-
• #11
good to know. That looked grim.
-
• #12
Majka is interesting looking. He was great in Coronation Street as Nick Tilsley. But for me, he was top as Conrad in Footballer's Wives.
-
• #13
I dunno how she got the Italian to do all that pulling from about 1 km out.

Uniquely, at the Olympics coming third is considered a success. Longo Borghini knew if they caught Abbott she'd get a medal, if they didn't she'd not.

I did wonder if trade team tactics were a factor, but then realised that Wiggle-Honda riders came 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
I imagine there'll be some tense moments on that team at future training camps.

I'd be fuming if I was mara abott. But, trade team is not national team etc etc.
I thought the Swedish rider was lucky to be in that group, they didnt seem to be doing much. (Poor recollection from last night as try and get ready for.my first commute in a week)

Interesting splits... Froome is, of course, the master of pacing.
-
• #21
Happy with that result :)
-
• #22
Dan Craven!
-
• #23
Very shrewd move by Froome. He knows the public would not be able to cope with him having too much success, so he takes the bronze and lets whinge bag Cancellera have his day. He will win the Tour 3 more times and then concentrate on the gold in 2020.

Happy for Fab.

Grab some beers, some cheese, maybe some crisps/nuts, and settle in for a little track time.
It's Philip Hindes, Jason Kenny, and Callum Skinner in the team sprint, and a selection from Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker, Ciara Horne, Joanna Rowsell Shand, Laura Trott in the team pursuit.
Well, it's starting...
