How much is my caadx frame worth?
£200?
£10?May as well start selling it now.
-
• #603
As a complete bike or for f&f?
-
• #604
Complete would be easier I think.
Though for some reason I'm contemplating holding on to shifters and cranks and shifter. -
• #605
Rear mech even.
-
• #606
I reckon you'd get at least £350 for it as a complete bike. If you split then the f&f would fetch £150-200 no bother.

So. If I did sell it and I wanted a disc frame (obvs), WHAT SHOULD I BUY?
I like the look of the kinesis, planet x (carbon job), anything else in my "back of the pack in terms of spending and racing ability but looking to maximise my value in both" area?
(do i want hydro yet or should i carry on with trp spyres for a bit? if trp spyres then I'll keep what i've got on the caad and sell the f&f) -

I wouldn't touch Planet X with a bargepole. I know their customer service has never been great, but lately all I read is horror stories.
Sadly I am advertising their products on my TT bike, but only because I got it second hand!

I'm getting one of these for the shed:
http://www.paulmilnescycles.com/paul-milnes-x-wing-team-replica-cyclocross-frameset---alloy-frame--carbon-fork-3428-p.aspIts essentially my X-ride Ridley frame (light as chuff) and is my do it all biek (if I had to sell everything and had to keep one bike).

Was just about to point out "no disc".
Only thing I've heard bad about the SLX (Planet X) is the shelf.
-
• #612
One problem with Planet X is the re-sale value, i.e. if you look to shift it on later you'll get buttons for it.
What are your requirements? Is it purely a race/training bike or will it have to double up for something else? Discs obviously. Anything else?

Racing/Training innit, discs, 1 x 10 is fine for now (then it's only the shifters that need changing). I'd quite like to not have to fuck around with BB adaptors this time around. I could say "guards", but I'm not sure I would use it outside of racing/training/pilgrims way to cantebury equivalent rides.
Pompetamine is the ride to work bike/winter miles (hahahahahahaha)
Cleaned up caad10 is the road bike (even more lolz).

I'd get a Kinesis then. Probably the best frame for the money and ideal for British conditions.
-
• #615
Righto. I quite like the look of all of them...
-
• #616
Agreed

• #619
Ha! Awesome slacker catch

Go back today, will be great. I'd love to smash out a CX ride in the snow, but I've bloody put my back out. Again.

My full body MOT thing I got for Christmas was great. Who knew all my muscles were doing the wrong things?
-
• #622
How do you get them to do the right thing?
-
• #624
It's going to take time.
A whole lot of precious time.It was interesting. Especially the elbow in the buttocks. ALL THE TRIGGERS.
-
• #625
Is it going to take money?
