My turbo ramp session revelation:
Why didn't I buy one of those cheap fluid ones before? The cycelops sensor connects easily to my phone - no cadence now, should my garmin provide that if it can connect via Bluetooth?
My FTP is apparently 275. Go me.

do you mean Garmin computer or sensor?
Garmin sensors dont do BT.
Not sure Garmin Computer can pass the info on via BTWahoo sensors transmit on bluetooth and ANT+. Handy.

Garmin sensors are ant+
Edge 25 has ant+ and blePhone has ble and ant+ (but ant+ seems to have been borked by an update to android )
I'd hoped my edge would collect cadence and beam it to phone. May just get another cycelops and be done.
Also thinking a 135 beater rear wheel could be handy until I take the wheels of Alexs bike and hang that rather than my road bike.

• #106
But that 135 depends on me cleaning bikes properly post "race".

Guess it won't
Garmin 500) with TrainerRoad
You don't need a head unit to use TrainerRoad. The ANT+ USB stick
turns your computer into the head unit. Not to fret though! Your head unit can still be on and connected to
your devices while you ride. Each device is a little radio station
that broadcasts a signal. TrainerRoad will listen and so will your
head unit. Your head unit won't add anything to the TrainerRoad
experience though. -

Did anyone race today?
I may not be able to ride Leeds Castle. Having a procedure during that week, they are injecting my facet joints with steroid and local anesthetics. Will have to see how my recovery is. I don't really get affected on the bike at the mo (touch wood), but doing stuff around the house, especially with the boy, is becoming increasingly difficult.

Ohw. Palace is next week. Anyone riding it? I'm TTing that morning.

-
• #111
Sorry to hear that Sam. Hope it gets sorted soon.
-
• #113
I’ve entered Palace. Not sure on Leeds Castle, will be flying to California next Monday, back on Friday, so might struggle to get a pass.
-
• #114
I'm in for Palace. No chance of Leeds. Hopefully in for the one after that.

• #115
Cheers chaps. Bricking it!

That's the week after Leeds Castle. After Brighton it's HHV (7th October). Will do my best to get to that one.

Anyone want a pair of Vittoria XLs? Been used a bit, as tubeless so have some dried sealant coating the inside, but have loads of life left. Very aggressive mud tread similar to Limus.
Free to a good home.
-
• #118
I’ll have them if noone else pipes up.

Good luck.

Hope you boyos had 'fun'. Did Jones come out to play?
-
• #123
He did. His second race of the season.
That was a tough course, it made great use of the available terrain but there was hardly anywhere to recover, and the long start/finish straight went straight into the wind.
-
• #124
Sounds grim Andy. At least weather was nice. What were ground conditions like ?
-
• #125
Mainly dry, very bumpy. There was one off camber section that was damp so potential to lose it there if you got the application of power wrong. It was a helluva bottleneck on the first lap, which I managed to avoid as I got a super clean start.
Ha ha. True. And no mud or rear wheels in your face.
