Fake news Damo. They are very bad people.

My mortgage doesn't depend on this result.

No, but future gridding might.

Meh.
I'll just do really really well in my next race and overcome the DNF. -
• #207
But you finished. Can you not email them and explain what happened?
-
• #208
Yeah. I'll try and get round to that...

Yes please. -

Huw is a bloody good coach too, assuming he'll be leading it.

It was good, lots of twisty sections on grass, with some long straights, but also a section through the woods that was a bit more technical.
I got an amazing start, was probably on the cusp of the top ten after the first half lap, but then riders who normally would beat me started to catch me and it was a case of going backwards for most of the rest of the race. I've no complaints though, I don't think I could have gone any harder and didn't feel like my four day trip to California last week had any adverse effects.

Video proof of someone riding the stairs on Facebook.
Also video proof of the bottleneck I had to pass, Andy definitely got a good start.
Also video proof of my sulky face as I looked round to determine how far back I was and saw 4 other people and that was it.
That was the impetus for me to say out loud "fuck this" and actually try on my first lap.
I'm ok with dnf.
